The song which I sang with my fellow students for 7 years in secondary school is for our country. Its been 20 years, and I recall the whole poem somehow successfully. It makes me feel good to publish it online. This was a composition from our music teacher in school.
Land of royal kings, motherland of heroes,
home to hungry millions, soil from which Gandhi rose.
India my India, India my India, my India, my India.
Himalaya to Hindukush, Kashmir to Kanyakumari,
flows Ganga, Caveri, Mahanadi, Godavri,
flows Ganga, Caveri, Mahanadi, Godavri.
India my India, India my India, my India, my India.
Land of royal kings, motherland of heroes,
home to hungry millions, soil from which Gandhi rose.
India my India, India my India, my India, my India.
Land of royal kings, motherland of heroes,
home to hungry millions, soil from which Gandhi rose.
India my India, India my India, my India, my India.
Himalaya to Hindukush, Kashmir to Kanyakumari,
flows Ganga, Caveri, Mahanadi, Godavri,
flows Ganga, Caveri, Mahanadi, Godavri.
India my India, India my India, my India, my India.
Land of royal kings, motherland of heroes,
home to hungry millions, soil from which Gandhi rose.
India my India, India my India, my India, my India.
